When is Yalda night?
Yalda night is one of the oldest Iranian holidays such as Nowruz and Syrian Wednesday, which our ancestors celebrated for thousands of years on the last night of autumn. Yalda night begins with the setting of the sun on the last day of autumn, December 20, and ends with the rising of the sun on the first day of January. The date of Yalda night is equal to 30 Azar every year.

History of Yalda
Yalda night is very old and it is not possible to determine the exact date for it. Some archaeologists consider the night of Yalda to be 7,000 years old, because on prehistoric pottery, engravings of the symbols of the months, namely rams and scorpions, have been seen. But if we want to know when Yalda night was recognized, we can refer to about 500 BC. Yalda was an occasion recorded in the Iranian calendar during the reign of Darius I and many rituals were held to hold this night during different periods.
